Principled Conduct

Upholding Integrity Across Campus

This code defines clear standards of professional conduct, accountability, and ethical responsibility to uphold discipline, respect, and institutional integrity.

This Handbook outlines the standard rules and practices of Viswabharathi Law College. All students must understand and comply with this Code of Ethics and Conduct.
The goal of this Code is to ensure a fair, efficient, and responsible discipline system that supports student growth and promotes accountability.

Students are expected to be familiar with this Code.

The college has full authority over the conduct of all admitted students and can take action against any misconduct occurring:

  • On the college campus
  • During college-related activities, functions, or events

This includes incidents such as ragging or any other violation of student discipline.

The college may also act on misconduct that occurs off-campus if it violates the standards expected from students. This includes:

  • Physical assault, threats, or behaviour endangering others
  • Possession or use of weapons, explosives, or harmful devices
  • Manufacture, sale, or distribution of drugs, alcohol, or prohibited substances
  • Any behaviour that disturbs or harms the surrounding community

By taking admission, each student agrees to:

  • Attend regularly
  • Complete academic tasks such as internal exams, records, and submissions within deadlines

If a student must discontinue studies for valid reasons, they may be relieved with written approval. All dues must be cleared, and any scholarship received will be cancelled.

  • Damaging college or others’ property
  • Disruptive behaviour in classrooms or college events

  • Suspension from classes
  • Withdrawal of scholarship
  • Debarment from exams
  • Withholding results
  • Suspension or expulsion from the college

If there is a complaint, a committee will investigate and recommend disciplinary action.

Possible actions include:

Temporary limitations on access to certain campus facilities.

Permanent removal from the college and prohibition from entering campus or participating in activities.

May include fines, loss of scholarship, or compensation for damage to college property.
